Old poetry from English 1020

"Cowardly Virgin"

For some, purity isn't about religion,

It's fear,

Fear of not getting the same respect,

Coming down from the pedestal to join the rest,

Being compared to the other girls performance,

Not being seen in the same light,

Is being a Virgin for these reasons right?

No.

I am just a Cowardly Virgin.

Afraid to be like everyone else.

"Don't Think Twice, It's Alright"

We were bound by our love for Mr. Bob Dylan,

You told me your favorite song was

"Don't Think Twice, It's Alright",

We had fun, I stood by your side

after my friends warned me about you

and we kissed,

Oh did we kiss,

But don't think twice, it's alright.

I didn't hold back,

It was like everyone in the past didn't matter,

Like you were my first,

But don't think twice, it's alright.

I thought the night would never end,

But you left with the stars,

You wasted my precious time,

I don't mind,

Just Don't think twice, it's alright.
